My kit plus extra Shampoo & Conditioner

I've been coloring my hair in some way or another since I was in my teens.  Back then it was because I wanted to highlight or change the color for something different, but now it is to cover up the grays that have sprouted all over within the past few years.  I don't have a lot of gray, but even just one is more than enough!

Thanks to being a BZZAgent I had the chance to try a new way to color my hair, by ordering the product online through eSalon.  I was a little skeptical at first because who knows what hair color to buy without first looking at it yourself to choose the appropriate color.  Other than that, I had no problems with deciding to go ahead and start the process...

My 'Before' Photo
First off, it was super easy to answer the multiple questions to determine the right custom hair color, but I was still not quite sure I chose the best color for me.  I debated whether to go lighter (dirty blonde), like I had all my life until about 5 years ago when I went to a darker brown shade, or to stay with the darker color.  I figured staying with the darker shade was a wiser choice until I found out what the end result would be/how this brand would work.

The order came very fast through USPS, and I actually colored my hair the same day I received it.  Everything I needed to complete the job was included:  color, two pairs of gloves, applicator brush, stain guard, stain remover, and shampoo and conditioner.  By the way, a complete hair coloring kit retails for only $19.95.  You can get 50% off a recurring order by using this special link:  http://u.bzz.com/sakzi

My 'After" Photo

I left the color on for the recommended 30 minutes (it does have a chemical smell but not as intense as some brands I have used) and then rinsed and washed with the shampoo and then conditioner, as instructed.  The shampoo does not have a lot of lather because it is sulfate free.  It does have a clean scent though.  My hair was left soft and tangle free with plenty of color and almost all grays covered (I noticed a few after a week had gone by)!  I usually wash my hair everyday, therefore the color doesn't last long, but in this case, it has stayed almost the same color since the day it was done.  I found that impressive.  I would definitely recommend this product.
