The Magic Opener

The past few years I have had a problem opening jars and bottles because my hands don't work so great anymore (carpal tunnel).  I think the soda/water bottles are the worst.  Sometimes I end up putting the item back into the refrigerator because I just can't manage to get it open.  I use a little bottle opener - that is just a flat piece of foam - sometimes, but that doesn't work all the time.  If MH is around, I will hand it to him to open.

Cans are another thing I hate opening, especially if I haven't trimmed my fingernails in a while.  Why? Because I end up breaking or ripping a fingernail pulling the tab up.  Food and drinks shouldn't be that hard to open!

I just received this new can/bottle opener to try out, called The Magic Opener.  It is shaped like a bottle and has a magnetized side so you can keep it within reach on your refrigerator.  The other side has handy tools for opening bottles and cans, as you can see in the image above.  The only thing I don't like is that it will only fit onto small bottles even though it says it fits small, medium and large (the round openings).  So, if you want to open a juice bottle, you need something else to do the trick.

It is very easy to use - place on bottle and turn (also idea for those with arthritis and young children - with supervision of course).  The can opener seems to work pretty well also and it saves my fingernails.  I use this a lot more than the old flimsy foam thing because it works better and it is always within reach.  MH was even playing with it the other day, and it does look cute on the frig.

Want to know more?  Visit the Magic Opener website at MagicOpener.com.  It retails for $19.99 and can be purchase in retail stores or online.  There is also a Magic Opener Extreme available, for opening larger bottles, which retails for $24.99.  To find out how easy and useful it is, watch the video below!
