Pumpkin Treats - For People and Pets

The Fall season and pumpkin is everywhere!  I made a no-bake pumpkin and cream cheese pie a few weeks ago and that took care of my craving for a while.  But when I saw these treats, I had to see what they tasted like (Nellie and Dixie said they wanted to try their new treats too).  Perfect for people and pets, two products that have pumpkin cravings covered - Dandies All Natural Pumpkin Marshmallows and Zuke’s® Pumpkin Patch Mini Naturals.

Pumpkin Marshmallows for Humans
'Dandies new all-natural pumpkin mini marshmallows are the perfect addition to Fall-season baking and a warm cup of hot cocoa. The first Non-GMO Project Verified marshmallows on the market, Dandies Pumpkin Marshmallows are completely free of gelatin, artificial ingredients and high fructose corn syrup. Made with all-natural ingredients and natural pumpkin flavor to give these treats a classic autumn sweetness, Dandies are air puffed to have the traditional texture and flavor that melts and tastes just like the marshmallows we grew up with. Produced in the company’s dedicated facility, which is free of dairy, eggs, peanuts, and tree-nuts, Dandies are also free of wheat, gluten and corn, 100% vegan, and certified kosher by the Chicago Rabbinical Council. Dandies Pumpkin Marshmallows will be available from October to December at natural food stores across the country for an SRP is $4.99 for a 10oz package.'

These were so good!  They make regular marshmallows taste like crap, no joke!  Very soft, with a light flavor.  I wish they sold them in Food Lion because I would be buying them all the time.

Pumpkin Treats For Dogs
'Our pets want pumpkin too! Shaped like real pumpkins with a recipe to match, Zuke’s Pumpkin Patch Mini Naturals are low in calories, allergy friendly, and perfect for training. At only 3 ½ calories per treat, frequent rewards of this moist treat can encourage positive behavior during the hectic holiday season. The delicious turkey and pumpkin recipe features quality, lean protein and the powerful nutritional value of pumpkin. Rich in carotenoids, beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, fiber, zinc, iron, vitamin A and potassium, the popular orange member of the squash family is great for helping to correct diarrhea and constipation in dogs. Starting October, Zuke’s Pumpkin Patch Mini Naturals will be available at retailers and online while supplies last for an SRP of $5.79 for a 6oz re-sealable package.'

Both of the girls loved these, even though they were really small.  They were moist and shaped like little pumpkins.  I like that they have good ingredients to keep them healthy and happy.  Nellie and Dixie liked the Z-Bones the best though.  They had a light minty scent and also have pumpkin in them for the added benefits.  A big hit!
