Supporting Our Troops With Marie Callender's #ComfortsFromHome

I am one of those people who believes it is important to support our troops.  Why do I feel that way? Because they are putting their lives on the line to protect us and our freedom.  That is not something everyone will do or even consider! Another more personal reason is because my grandfather served in the Army and was killed during WWII in Germany.  He was only 25 years old and had two young children at home, one of which was my mother.

How can we support our troops in different ways? An easy choice is to participate in the Comfort of Home program from Marie Callender's.  When you buy any of their participating products that have the Support Our Troops image on them, and then go online to enter the code, they will make a donation to USO Operation Celebration - a program that makes it possible for troops to celebrate holidays, through meals, entertainment, and much-needed breaks.

Last year, Marie Callender's gave care packages to troops overseas through a donation to the USO2GO program in the amount of $250,000.  I'm sure our servicemen and women enjoyed a little taste of home that day!

For every entry by 1/29/2016 of an 8-digit code found on participating products, Marie Callender’s will donate $.50 to the USO Operation Celebration program. Guaranteed minimum donation: $100,000. Maximum donation: $300,000. Limit 5 code entries per person/computer each day. Valid in U.S. Only.

As you can see in my photo above, we chose the pot pies, which have the best crust and big chunks of meat and veggies!  Of course, Marie Callender's has good prices too.  It was super easy to enter our codes on the website and I saw that there have been 233,014 codes entered already!  So share some of the comforts of home with servicemen and women and enjoy a good meal in the process.  Don't forget to follow Marie Callender's on social media:
